Well, to be more accurate, it’s National Get Organized and Be Productive Month, but that’s a bit of a mouthful.
GO Month is a great time to hone in on some organizing projects while you’re still high on New Year’s resolutions and the fresh start of a whole new decade.
Here are some ideas to help you focus your organizing efforts so you can see progress right off the bat.
“Celebrate” National Clean Off Your Desk Day on January 13th.
It’s also…
National Clean Out Your Closets Month.
Even if you only tackle a few of your closets, it will make a big difference!
Some Other Ideas:
Organize your purse/diaper bag,
your work bag,
and your nightstand.
These areas are small and manageable, but they are also things that you use every single day, sometimes many times a day.
Remove the unnecessary, create order, and contain everything so that each day starts and ends with a little victory and encouragement!
Ready for more?
Ask yourself these questions to determine which areas you need to tackle most:
“What frustrates me most in my home?”
“Where do most arguments about ‘stuff’ occur?”
“What one place can become my ‘sanctuary’ to retreat and have peace?”
If your answers left you with “the whole house”, that might seem overwhelming. So break it down into small steps.
