Reflect & Refocus Goals Journal
Organize Your Thoughts, Clarify Your Goals, and Make More Time For The People & Passions That Give You Meaning
My mission as a Professional Organizer is to organize clients in order to free up their time and energy to pursue the people and passions that give them meaning.
This Goals Journal is just one more way to do that.
I want everyone to be able to pursue what matters to them, but I know sometimes that takes a lot of work to A) clarify exactly what that is, and B) figure out how to make it happen.
This journal will help you organize your thoughts and dreams in key areas of your life, and then turn those dreams into specific goals with action steps.
I’ve included the 12 key areas I look at twice a year in my own life, plus a blank version for whatever other values or goals you’d like to journal about.
I’ll remind you to set deadlines/check-ins, to think about the financial requirements to achieve your goals, and to get clear on your why.
The best part is that this journal is an instant, PDF download that you can print again and again. Print a copy for yourself and one for your partner and then meet to share and combine goals in shared areas. Print extra pages for areas you want to subcategorize. And revisit it all in 6-12 months to reflect and refocus again.
My coaching clients know that I am serious about setting goals and deadlines for yourself. It’s too easy to let a month, or a whole year, slip by without accomplishing your goals because you never made them concrete to begin with.
This journal will help you think through your next six months, or your next year, and set a deadline for yourself. From there, it’s easier to work backwards and figure out when each action step needs to be accomplished in order to meet the overall goal.
Plus, it helps you prioritize your goals.
There are often so many things we want to do that it gets overwhelming and we don’t do any of them. Does that feel familiar? I can’t be the only one!
You have probably experienced “analysis paralysis” or that feeling of “I just don’t know where to start.” That’s so common and that’s why I break things down to make it simple and make sure that you can determine and focus on the most important goal first.
